Hee-Haw-Farms

Our dentist office sent all their patients tickets to Hee-Haw Farms for a family fun night. It was a lot of fun, and I was surprised how the lines were pretty short for the activities they had planned for everyone. They served chili, cornbread, carrot cake and hot chocolate. They had a really good blue-grass band playing. If Rich was there with me I'm sure he wouldn't have busted out his dance moves :) I was such in a rush to get out the door that I forgot my stroller and Blake's bear leash. I was REALLY bummed about that, Blake weighs a ton so he's hard to carry and Weston can run off so quick and get lost. Brooklyn is starting to get more and more helpful to me with the younger two kids, so that's been really nice!

Weston's Masterpiece

Weston and I were watching t.v the other morning, and on Good Things Utah they were doing demonstrations on some fun Halloween cakes. Weston was glued to the t.v while he watched the chef assemble and frost the spider cake. I think it's so cute that he is so fascinated with cooking shows. I would even say that he likes baking with me more then Brooklyn does. Here's a picture of Weston with his spider cake, he's very proud of it!

(By the way, we just had a piece of the cake and I think Weston dumped something in the cake while it was mixing when I wasn't looking, something tasted kinda weird to me. Hmm... the kids liked it though. Or it could be the prenatal vitamins I'm taking, sometimes everything I eat taste metallic to me. Maybe it's a good thing the cake tasted a little funny to me, now I won't be tempted to eat it :)

Hike at Bridal Veil Falls

We went on a little hike up to Bridal Veil Falls this past weekend. It was sooo pretty! There were tons of photographers there taking pictures of all the trees and the leaves changing colors. I was wishing that I would have dressed the kids up a little nicer and done Brooklyn's hair, I wasn't planning on taking so many pictures I thought we were just going to walk around. We had a great time, and it was a warm day for October. You should take your family there before the mountains are covered with snow!

Brownie Batter Fun

This is what happens when I leave the brownie batter bowl unattended for two minutes...

They made a huge mess, but atleast they were sharing :)

Harvest Festival at Hoogle Zoo

Hoogle Zoo had a members only Harvest Festival a couple of weeks ago. It was a cold day, and we figured it wouldnt be very crowded. We were wrong! I guess when people here the word "free" they jump in the car like we do. The kids didnt mind waiting in the lines for the games, they had a great time!

April 15, 2010

Not only is April 15th tax day for everyone, but it's our due date for baby #4! We are all so excited here at home about this baby coming. I am 13 weeks now, and I'm no longer nauseated. Thank goodness! I thought of my mom a lot when I was sick, she is now recovering from her chemo treatments. So she has been sick for the past 6 months. Gosh, I was only sick for a couple of months and I'm sure it was nothing compared to what she felt, I don't know how she got through it. She's amazing. She even made a trip to visit me last month to help me around the house and with the kids, when she wasn't feeling well herself. She really is the best.

I have started running again now, more like a slow jog. It feels good to not have to give that up completely while I'm pregnant. I wish I could be better at eating healthier though, if you ever here me complain about gaining too much weight just slap me! It's my own fault. I wish I gained 25-35 pounds that most women do, but I gain much more! I'll see a good recipe on foodnetwork, then I can't get it out of my head until I make it and try it. If you've noticed my latest postings on my blog have been related to food, Rich thinks I have a small obsession with food. I would probably have to agree with that. I look forward to every meal, and when I'm pregnant it's even worse!

We've asked the kids if they want a boy or girl, Weston want's another boy, because boys are awesome. And Brooklyn surprisingly goes back and forth, sometimes she says she thinks we are having a boy and sometimes she thinks it's a girl. I'm glad that she calls it a boy sometimes, because I don't want her to be disappointed if she doesn't get a sister. I think all she really wants is a baby to hold :) As far as Rich and I are concerned we are both on the fence of what we want, some days I'm leaning toward a girl and other days a boy. I love having boys. I think their personalities are so funny and I really enjoy having two boys, but I have also loved having a little girl. There is something really sweet about having a daughter. So we'll just have to wait and see what we get. We are one of the few couples that doesn't find out the gender at 20 weeks. We didn't find out with the boys, and we thought it added a extra element of surprise and excitement to the labor and delivery. We found out with Brooklyn's pregnancy because she was our first and I didn't think I could wait, and her delivery was still exciting and great but there is something so exciting when your baby is being delivered and the doctor announces right there what you have. I LOVE it!

That's the latest news with our family, hope everyone is doing well!

Temple Pictures

My friend Cami is doing workshops on how to made these temple pictures. I'm sure you've seen these pictures at Deseret Book and Costco for $200.00-$300.00. She can teach you how to make your own for $48.92 w/tax!
This is a beautiful picture, and it's big too. The actual finished size is 26" x 32". It's got that antiqued look, too.
Our ward is doing a Super Saturday on Nov 5th to make these pictures, most of my neighborhood will go to that. I thought I would let my friends and family know about this that don't live in my neighborhood, it would be fun to get together and make these pictures together. And for those of you who can't attend the Super Saturday your welcome too. If I get a good response I'll host a party.
For those who are interested in coming, just leave a comment and your email address and I'll get in contact with you. You can bring a friend if you want too.

The temples available to choose from are: Salt Lake, Logan, Timpanogos, St. George, Bountiful, Idaho Falls, and Manti.
