Me and the kids probably come to the gardens/aquarium once a week. I know I already did a post a while back about coming here, but each time we come we see something new here. The gardens are divided up into different themes. It really is my favorite place to hang out here. It's about a 10 minute drive from our house and my kids love it. Our family pass lets us into the zoo, gardens and the aquarium. I really didn't think my kids would enjoy walking around the gardens looking at flowers, but they do! We come here more then the zoo. Right now it's too hot to walk around the zoo, but the gardens is so full of shade that it makes it nice to be outside. I would have never thought that New Mexico would have places like this to visit. I guess I just expected everything to be dry and desert like, which a lot of it is. Maybe that's why I like it here so much, because it makes me feel like we don't live in a hot dry desert. I love it that we have a place like this to come too.
This is the Childrens gardens, my kids favorite place to explore. When you walk inside you kinda feel like your on the "honey I shrunk the kids" movie set. Everything is huge, the bugs, the trees, carrots, turnips and pine cones.
So Weston just got this backpack for preschool that is going to be starting up in the fall. He wanted to bring it with him today. When we were eating lunch, he took off his backpack and started to take everything out of it. I had no idea he packed it full of stuff. He brought: His transformer toys, a kick ball, books, and he threw in some pudding cups. It was a pretty heavy bag for a little boy to carry!
Weston accidentally buried his spiderman toy here last week in the sand, we had to leave it behind. Hopefully another little boy found it and is enjoying it:)
The kids are starting to develop relationships with these sea creatures. They talk about these fish during the week like they are their friends, and always ask when they can go visit them. Brooklyn really likes the sting rays. Today this stingray kept coming up to her right against the window. She thought he was giving her a kiss.
We always look for this shark, his teeth are on the outside of his mouth. It's pretty scary looking.
