281 W Sky Ct

We sold and moved out of our house last week. We lived in this house for almost 6 years. I was 8 months pregnant with Brooklyn when we moved in and and 33 weeks pregnant when we moved out and Rich was in Albuquerque during the move! We have great timing don't we?
This was our first home, Rich and his friend Carter built this home for us. Maybe that's why it was hard to leave it. We made all the decisions from the carpet to the paint color to the layout of the house. I still remember us driving into this subdivision looking for the perfect lot, we fell in love with this lot because it was in culdesac and it had a great yard. What attracted us to this area was the view of the mountains and the lake, it really is something. The view is especially pretty when I would run early in the mornings. I loved it!
What I will really miss about this house was our backyard. We probably have one of the smallest homes in our neighborhood, but we were lucky to have a big backyard. Rich and I spent a lot of long nights putting the sprinklers in the yard. I would hold lights on the trenches and dig the rocks out while he glued all the pipe together. The next big project that we wanted done was putting in a fence so the kids could be trapped in! Once the fence was in, it was heaven for me and the kids! I loved mowing the lawn, it took forever but I enjoyed it because it was something different then doing housework.
And probably what made our home such a special place to live was the people that surrounded us. We have made friendships here that I know will continue even with us moving away. When Rich left for school in January, I have been overwhelmed with the generosity and thoughtfulness that my friends and neighbors have shown me. They have really taken care of me and the kids with Rich being gone.
Even though it's hard to say say goodbye to this house and our friends, I'm am excited to start this new chapter in our lives as we move to Albuquerque.

I just loved reading this. You guys are really going to be missed. I'm sure you will miss our long talks over the fence while our kids screamed at us. You still owe me a night at my moms and a run in July, if your passing through, lets do it!!!!! I will get the start time right this year I hope!!!

I am dying for an update! How are you doing? Are you getting settled? How are you feeling? How is Rich doing in school? I wish so badly I were there to help you. There is SO much to do when you move! I can't even imagine moving to a new state, and doing it pregnant! If I lived there I would make some homemade bread and come over and get all your kiddoes while you unpacked...or took a nap! We love you guys!

Oh Teri! I just found this post. How sweet. You guys are missed. Talked to Julie today and she said you crossed paths at the hospital. Can't wait for the big news. :)
