Today was a good day!

The first two things I do when I wake up in the morning is change Blake and Weston's diapers. I don't mind changing Blake's diapers. But Weston's diapers are starting to get gross. He'll be 3 in December. When I was changing Weston's diaper this morning, I decided I would try to motivate him to use the toilet today. I have days where I am energetic and enthused about teaching him to use the toilet, and other days when I don't have the patience for it. I had planned on running some errands today, but when Weston agreed to at least wear his Diego underwear I decided to stay home all day and focus on him using the toilet. It's a good sign when I can at least get him to wear underwear. He wet his first three pair of underwear by noon. I didn't give up! I quickly washed the underwear, and while the underwear were washing he walked around with no diaper on. He kept asking for a diaper, but I told him we were all out. I kept a close eye on him to make sure there were no accidents on the carpet. After the underwear were clean I let him go outside to play, and I noticed he had that look of concentration on his face. I asked him to come in and sit on the toilet and he agreed to. (Usually he doesn't do anything I tell him, he's very stubborn!) So I sat in the bathroom with him to support and encourage him, but he kept telling me to go out! I guess he wanted some privacy. So, I listened by the door until I heard him say: "I went poo poo mom!" Then two hours later, he went again!! He's had three successful visits to the toilet and 4 accidents! The picture above he fell asleep in the living room, he stayed dry during his nap! The video below you'll notice the bag of pretzels he snacks on while he's taking care of business. Today was a good day!

That video is really cute. Woo-Hoo! That will be so nice when you'll only have 1 diaper to change now. Thank heavens for cartoon underwear. What did our moms do with only white??

Cute video! I'm going to try to start potty-training Aida this week. She's totally ready, I've just been stalling until I'm ready. :) We're making the big trip to Target on Monday to get the "big girl underwear". I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm willing to bribe her with jellybeans if necessary.

I am so not looking forward to going through this with Levi. I'll have to call you for motivation or something. I think it is so exhausting! Good luck!
