Next two years...

I've had a few people ask me to post pictures of where we are living now. Rich did a good job picking out this home. It's a nice little neighborhood. We are renting this home from a family that took a job in Utah. I guess they tried to sell it but had no luck, so we got a pretty great deal on renting it. Our house is walking distance to Brooklyn's school, so that's nice. Brooklyn adjusted really quick to her new school, no tears at all on her first day! She really likes her teacher Mrs Duran. She goes on her first field trip to the zoo next month, she is so excited to ride a school bus for the first time. The neighborhood seems to be friendly, everyone kinda keeps to themselves but they wave and say hi when your outside. We love our ward family here, I can't tell you how thankful I am to be in a good ward. The ward boundaries are spread out a bit, so we all live a couple miles from eachother. I was homesick the first weekend I was here, I didn't know anyone. Then when we pulled up to our chapel for the first time it felt good. It was the one familiar thing here to me, then I walked in and immediately people were asking who we were. It was really nice. I had ladies from the ward bring me meals the 2nd week we got here, and a few ladies took my boys to play with their kids at their homes so I could rest and recover after having Samantha. Everything seems to be falling into place here. I just found a preschool group with some ladies in our ward that I'm going to do with Weston this fall, so I'm excited to start doing that. I am also meeting at the park once a week this summer with other moms, that's been a good way to get to know people. Most people in our ward are all from other states, they are either here for work or school. So it's been interesting to learn what everyone's backgrounds are and why they came here. I think this move would have been difficult for me if I didnt have the support from the church. The first week we got here, we had the Bishop, Elders Quarm President, Relief Society President, Compassionate Service Leader, and 4 other ladies come visit with us just to meet us and see if we needed anything. Rich and I hope we have some good experiences while we are here for the next two years. I'm anxious to see where we will end up when Rich graduates and gets his first job. It's just nice to know that moving away doesnt have to be a totally scary thing, because the church will always be there no matter where you go.

Here's the street we live on...

Our home... or maybe I should say "Mi Casa".
Our backyard...it's a cute little backyard. It has some shade by some big trees. But I REALLY do miss having a grass. Most people don't have grass because it's expensive to water it.
This is the loft upstairs, I have really liked having this extra room. All the toys are here and this is the one room that can stay a mess and it's ok. Downstairs stays clean which is nice because all the toys and bedrooms are upstairs.
This is a little formal family room when you first walk in...
This is a dining room/family room. Notice the white carpet!! This would not be my choice of carpet if I built this house especially if you have little kids. We invested in some rugs so hopefully we wont damage the carpet to badly. We also have a few accent walls in this house that are a peachy/pink! I guess it's a New Mexican thing. I'm trying really hard to embrace the peach, but I'm still not loving it but I am getting used to it.
Kitchen... I love all the space I have in this kitchen. Lots of room to put everything.

Samantha's first photo shoot

Samantha had these photo's taken while we were in the hospital. The hospital has a photographer that goes to all the rooms of the new babies. It was a fun little photo shoot, I got to watch the photo session from my bed. She's 1 day old in these pictures.... I think she looks pretty cute:)

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

Brooklyn turned 6 last month, and I'm just now posting it! When Rich left for school in January he told her he would be home for her birthday in March. So this birthday was extra special for her because she was counting down the days until dad came home. We celebrated her birthday/reunion with dad at Chucky cheese. It was a FUN day!

Our baby is here!

We had a GIRL!
She was born on 03.31.10
We named her...
Samantha Kate Stowe
She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz
19 1/2 inches

We couldn't be happier to have another daughter, I think Rich and I were both thinking we were having a boy. So when I pushed her out and the doctor said "IT'S A GIRL!", we were a little shocked. I'm excited to get out the bows and frilly clothes.

I'm feeling good, and am sooo glad she came a little early, 13 days early. Now that Samantha is here we can finally move out to Alburquerque with Rich!
